Conservation of Mass!

The whiteboareds and deuling whiteboards were great in class!  We figured out that the mass is conserved in both physical and chemical changes of matter.  Now, it's time to get ready for the quiz.  Review your notes about measurement, sig figs, accuracy, and precision as well as complete your journal entry about the Mass and Change Lab (this entry should serve as your review of the lab).  REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR JOURNALS.  I will be conducting a journal check tomorrow.

HW:  Journal entry of class lab results and conclusions from the six-part lab regarding Mass and Change.
  • Create a table which includes all of the "change" results from the six experiments.
  • Summarize (1) the materials in the experiment, (2) the change in the experiment, and (3) the conclusions of each experiment.
  • Also, include particle diagrams for each part.
  • At the end of your summaries, write any questions that you may have at this point.
  • In your journal, state the Law of Conservation of Mass in your own words.
Review notes on accuracy, precision, significant figures, and reading scales.
