In preparation for the Unit 3 test, students should asseble your notes, the 4 worksheets, challenge questions, and "How a Refrigerator Works". Students should be comfortable with the difference between thermal and phase energy and be able to diagram energy changes with energy bar diagrams. In addition, questions will involve labeling heating/cooling curves and identifying the appropriate equation for each part of the curve. Be prepared to work 1 to 2 simpler problems and 1 to 2 challenge problems. Questions will be included about how a refrigerator works - review the steps in the handout.
