What a Gas!

Over the last two days, we have completed the Gas Laws lab which included three parts - P vs. V, P vs. n, and P vs. T.  What was the relationship between gas pressure and the independent variables (volume, number of particles, and temperature)?

I apologize for the equipment failure during the lab today.  Below is the data collected during 4th period for P vs. T:

T (deg C)        P (mmHg) (above atm pressure)
--------------        -----------
24.5                       0
31.0                       22
35.0                       39
40.0                       58
45.0                       81
52.0                       105
56.0                       118
60.0                       131
65.0                       143

HW: Complete a journal entry for all three parts of the Gas Laws lab.  Each part should include the following elements: (1) a simple procedure explaining how you varied the independent variable and measured the dependent variable, (2) data table, (3) graph(s), and (4) conclusion explaining any relationship between pressure and the independent variable (based upon data).  This journal entry is due Friday.  Also, read the handout discussing Absolute Zero.  We will have a short quiz tomorrow.
