Science vs. Philosophy of Science; Exploding Can Experiment

Please complete the Klemke reading for tomorrow.  We will be discussing the difference between science and philosophy of science.  Prior to our discussion, a short quiz will be given to demonstrate that you have completed the reading assignment.  HINTS: What is philosophy of science? What is not philosophy of science? What questions may be asked by a philosopher of science? Are these questions different from those asked by a scientist? What is meant by "Science is talk about the world; philosophy is talk about the language."?

We observed a demonstration of the "exploding can" in class.  Write down some ideas about what you think is happening in the reaction.  Please do not worry about the chemical equation.  Tomorrow, we will be whiteboarding about this experiment.
